Hi everyone! My name is Elsa, and I'm a humanitarian/missions bush pilot in Tanzania, East Africa. I've been in Tanzania doing medical clinics and emergency/medevac flights for the past year and a half flying a C206. Loving it! The Lord has given me an opportunity to serve the Maasai people in Tanzania by flying doctors and medical supplies into remote areas of the country.
Tanzania is a beautiful and diverse land. I have a few photos of the airplane I fly, the people I reach, the scenery I see on a day to day basis, and a few of the animals native to this beautiful place!
It has been an amazing challenge and experience getting to live in Tanzania, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to get to know some of the Maasai people's beautiful smiles.
The baby clinics are often held under the wing of the airplane, or under a tree. The baby scale is normally hooked onto the wing of the plane or on a tree branch! The pregnant women clinics are held in a little hut that is kept up by the Maasai people. The little one's helping me take the medical supplies back to the airplane...notice the baby on his sister's back.
Hope this gives you all a glimpse of life in East Africa! Thank you so much, Abbey for the opportunity to share!
