it was the rainiest wedding day i've ever experienced. it poured the entire drive to Petersburg Virginia and i felt like i didn't stop praying the whole way. just one little break in the rain Lord? i'm sure he was smiling telling me to just wait for it.
Josh and Ashley were a couple i couldn't wait to shoot. i'd been excited for their wedding day for a solid year and i knew no matter what, it was going to be such a special day. i met ashley in college and i instantly fell in love with her and her spunky daughter Mya. Ashley seems like she never stops smiling and i think thats the most impressive thing about her. she is so positive and it tends to rub off!
the wedding took place in an art gallery, (how do i get so lucky?!) and turned out to be such a unique wedding i totally forgot it was raining cats and dogs. they happy couple was surrounded by great friends and beautiful family and the whole day went off without a hitch. well, it had one hitch...(wink)
the rain did indeed stop for a few minutes (thank ya Jesus) and snuck outside to get some natural light dreaminess before we danced our socks off at the reception. it was such a great day, i would do it all over again if i could!
here are a few of my favorites from the day!
