Caveboys Take Nashville (With uncle Mark)
a while back my (our) cousin mark stopped for a visit on his way to colorado where he was moving to. (so jealous forever.) i can honestly tell you i've never seen the boys love someone that fast. they all were so excited by everything he said and acted like they had known him their whole lives. jonathan was talking to david on the phone and said, "dad, you have to talk to uncle mark, he is SO cool!" it was the cutest.
so while mark was visiting we explored all around nashville! we went to the bp (conveniently on the buzz feed coffee list i needed picture proof of…) and mas tacos and even the old airpark to run around. lots of touristy things including pops at the end of our little romp. it was a ton of fun and so SO funny to watch my nephews sit around with a bunch of hipsters drinking coffee. i loved it. it was a super fun day! also i need to mention at least half of these photos are taken by jonathan age six.
oh my good gracious is he beautiful or IS HE BEAUTIFUL?!
Fireflies | First Day of Summer
happy first day of summer kids! its hot. its humid. all i want to do is sit in a creek but i am finding all sorts of things to be thankful for during this muggy season! one of those thankful things is watching my nephews as they run crazy hooligan style all over the yard and catch fireflies. i was not aware that the west coast did not have these pretty little bugs until my friend jared told me he didn't think they were a thing. now every time i see them i'm a little bit happier i live in these southern states and get to see the twinkles dance along the tree line each night.
summer is not so bad.
Wednesday Sessions | Crozier Family
talk about a sweet family! i was so excited to photograph this bunch back in December since i got to tennessee, this family has welcomed me in. then i broke a window in their house...long story. but none the less, they teach me things about the Lord i've never thought about, encourage me with the love they have for each other and occasionally give me the puppy fix i need to continue life without pete. i love this family a lot.
Wednesday Sessions | Madill Family
hi. let me tell you about this little family right here. they are the sweetest, funniest little bunch and photographing them this past fall was just the best! i romped all over a field, got plenty of burrs on our jeans and i practically died over the lighting. there is something magic in this wheat. the haze and glow it casts was enough to get me dancing.
i was able to be a part of such a special moment here. Jacob and Audrey told their daughter that she was going to be a big sister! they said, "mia! guess who has a baby in their belly?!?" she thought about it and looked at them and they said, "mama has a baby in her belly!" then she checked.
i cried of course. i love my job.
